... your family that you love them.
Last Sunday morning my friend Max's heart just stopped beating in the middle of the night. His girl friend just happened to wake up and dragged him off the bed and started doing chest compressions on the floor. He was rushed to the hospital where his heart restarted. A EEG showed that he had brain brain damage. They put him into deep sedation but after a week of test, prayers and waiting there was no improvement.
His 3 older sisters knew his wishes and at 6:30pm Friday had the respirator and all hoses removed with the exception of pain meds. For some reason at 7:30pm Friday I was just sitting around and watching TV and decided to go back to the hospital when I walked into the room and saw what was going on. He looked a lot better without the hoses and machine, he was peaceful. 5 hours later he finally stopped breathing and passed away.
He was looking to sell his business and finally retire.
He was only 58 and he was my friend since we were 8 and the bet man at my wedding.
