Lines of new Deutsche Bundespost vehicles lined up at the Volkswagen plant at Wolfsburg awaiting delivery in 1955. The vans are for the Fernmeldedienst - telecommunications and telephones part of the business. DBP took delivery of its 25,000th Volkswagagen on 26 October 1964.

It’s peculiar for sure, but it looks like it’s well done and in a manner that you would have expected VW to do it as well.
