Decided to finally fire it up. Once it got oil pressure, it started and runs great. Checked all the lights and everything seems to be working.

Still have a problem with restarting after it sits for a short time. I thinks it's the carbs.

Maybe the problem is by now you are running on 100 % fuel stabilizer. :shock:

The engine had problems restarting after being driven so I never took it anywhere. Only put 11 miles on it in 2018. It's not the engine or the ignition so that only leaves the carbs. They were rebuilt 12 years ago so i'll be sending them out to be done again. I suspect the crappy fuel and not putting miles on it contribute to the condition of the carbs. Oddly I found the outside nut on #3 holding the carb to the manifold was missing. This could cause a vacuum leak but engine ran great.

I forgot what a B!TCH these are to get off.

Today was a nice warm day and that fender isn't fixing it self... so the first step is to get it off.

DONE.

Amazingly all the nuts came loose with no problem. it was like the fender was put on yesterday. The fender has paint issues all over but the rest of the body is perfect.

The front suspension has 20 years of grease and dirt so maybe i'll take the opportunity to clean everything off, grease the beam and silicone the tie rod boots.

I'll also change the fuel line under the tank since it's real easy to get to now.

Well, it looks like the paint hasn't faded. I can't see a difference for the area under the turn signal rubber and the exposed paint.
